Dark Moon: Environments Source: Frederick Edwin Church

Another American painter, Church was a travelling artist who ventures throughout the world, a sketchbook close at hand. His goal was to seek out spectacular landscapes and natural marvels, such as waterfalls, volcanoes, rainforests, icebergs etc, his paintings show a diverse study of landscapes. I've sourced Church primarily for his diversity in the environments he has explored. He has painted images of Niagara Falls, the Aurora Borealis, and the volcano at Cotopaxi among others.
